One of Kyle's earliest memories is of watching his older brother play Ocarina of Time, which probably explains how he ended up as an Editor for Screen Rant's Gaming section. ![]() Much like the Nords of Skyrim, Hammerfell has a unique religion, borne out of that from the Redguards' time on Yokuda. There are also many major cities in Hammerfell, most of which also avoid the interior desert regions. What isn't desert in Hammerfell is rugged mountain ranges, grasslands, or forests, mainly along its coasts and borders. Despite the harsh conditions, the Redguards have managed to flourish like the Dwemer before them. Much of Hammerfell is covered by the Alik'r Desert, a seemingly endless stretch of arid landscape. Before the Redguards, Hammerfell was primarily occupied by the Dwemer, a race that disappeared in another one of The Elder Scrolls' great mysteries. Redguards had to flee their native island home of Yokuda when it sank into the sea for unknown reasons. Redguards are famous throughout Tamriel for their fighting ability, owing to the fact that they conquered the region of Hammerfell by force in Elder Scrolls lore. Vast swathes of Hammerfell are desolate, yet that doesn't stop the hardy Redguards from inhabiting the region. ![]()
